The psychology of money

1.No one is crazy, we all make decision based on our unique experiences that seem to make sense to us in a given moment.

2.Luck and risk are siblings. Nothing is as good or as bad as it seems.

3. The hardest financial skill is getting the goalpost to stop moving… and social comparison is a big problem here.

4. The big takeaway from ice ages is that you don’t need tremendous force to create tremendous results.

81.5 billion of Warren Buffet’s 84.5 net worth came after his 65yh birthday. 複利在足夠的時間裡會有顯著作用。

5.You need short term paranoid to keep you alive enough to exploit long term optimism. Be survival.

6.anything influential is the results of tail event, an outlying one-in-thousand event.

7. Use money to gain control over your time. Controlling your time is the highest dividend money pays.

12. The correct lesson to learn from surprise is that the world is surprising.

13. You have to plan on your plan not going according your plan, give yourself room for error.

14. We should come to accept the realist of changing our minds.

19. Be nicer and less flashy. You might think u want a fancy car or nice watch, but what you what is respect and admiration. And you are likely to gain those things through kindness and humility than horsepower and chrome.

Charlie Munger: I did not intend to get rich, I just wanted to get independent.

Being able to wake up one morning and change what you are doing, on your own terms, whenever you are ready, seems like the grandmother of all financial goal.

Independence doesn’t mean you’ll stop working, it means you can do the work you like with people you like at the time you want for as long as you want.
